The Children's Hours looks amazing. I have a soft spot for books about children and this one is officially on my wishlist. Any hint as to when its going to be launched?

Speaking as someone who has been forced to go through life with an unfamiliar coupling of consonants at the beginning of my name, I'm curious to know how someone with four consonants at the beginning of their surname survives encounters with call centers. (My tactic is to make myself known to the likes of MWEB, Standard Bank, Multichoice and my insurer as 'Bob' - I have been asked to spell this.)

Sally, I was told that The Children's Hours is going to be available in South Africa from 1 November. I will keep you updated.
Sven, my name has been misspelled more often than I can tell, but people always remember me because of it. They usually don't know how to spell it (they never believe me when I do, giving up when I come to the second 'z'), but they remember 'the one with that weird name'.
The word 'szczurek' means 'little rat' in Polish. That's why my cats adore me :)

Sally, I have just been to the Book Lounge here in Cape Town: they already have a copy of The Children's Hours (R260). Enjoy!

yay! Thanks Karina. If I do manage to get my paws on it before anyone else I'll be sure to bring it to the launch for you to sign.
